Argenta Argenta Arkansas - AKA North Little Rock is a really cool place. What is now a gentrified "Arts District" is an area of largely restored buildings with a 100+ year history. The city started out in the late 1860s and was named for the nearby silver mines. It was especially nice to sightsee on the free replica vintage streetcar. The "Old Mill" is picturesque and slightly famous - having appeared in the opening scenes of "Gone With The Wind", for no obvious reason. |

METRO Streetcar This is a great way to have a look at North Little Rock and a little bit of Little Rock. Currently the part of the route that goes further into Little Rock is cut off due to construction. There are multiple streetcars running and one comes along about every 20 minutes or so. Hop on at any of the stops (each has a little shelter and/or sign) and hop off at another - then back on again to continue the circuit until you get back to your starting point. The streetcars are electric and replicas of old streetcars. |

The Old Mill This is a really great park to visit and see the lovely mill as well as the sculpted fantasy bridges and surroundings of the mill. Excellent to just hang out and relax or have a picnic. Restrooms available, too. |
