Commoy's of London 'Classic Oil' Jet Lighter
While vastly different in form, functionally about the same as a Beattie Jet lighter. Under the lift arm is both a wick and jet; the jet is set up exactly the same way as the Beattie and other jet lighters are. The lighter is made in Japan.

Continental Semi-Automatic Lighter
Unusual Continental lighter in that it is semi-automatic. Depressing the lever snaps the snuffer open and causes the spark wheel to turn and generate a spark. The snuffer must then be manually closed. This lighter also has dual openings to the fuel tank; altogether, an unusual lighter for a Japanese brand. There is also a "secret compartment" accessed by snapping open the front cover panel. It appears this is a locket sort of setup where a picture would be placed in the compartment - probably there was originally a plastic or glass cover for the picture.

This HUGE lighter is, for all practical purposes, exactly like the Reliance, Grant, and unbranded large table lighters also made in Occupied Japan - circa 1948.
