Kensington

Alcoa (Aluminum Company of America) was primarily a supplier of aluminum and in 1901 also went into marketing products. At first it was cookware under the name of Aluminum Cooking Utensil Company and produced such names as Wear-Ever.

In 1934 a new division was established: Kensington, Inc. Kensington produced decorative giftware designed by Lurelle Guild. The new line was made of an aluminum alloy that was whiter than regular aluminum and had the added benefit of not oxidizing like regular aluminum.
