1994 Camel Metal Match Lighter Recall

The 1994 Metal Match lighters were recalled by RJR - about 2 Million were recalled (presumably the number manufactured). Apoparently, the problem was leakage of fluid from the lighter which could then be ignited - with hot consequences! Use of the lighters may result in a burn injury. The lighters were manufactured by CVA, Inc. in August of 1994 and recalled in September following 17 reports of adults being burned with the lighters. A $5.00 incentive was paid for return of the lighters.
