Insignia: 761st Tank Battalion
US Army 761st Tank Battalion "Black Panthers" insignia. The Black Panthers was a segregated black division under General Patton. Unit commissioned March 15, 1942 and deactivated June 1, 1946 in Germany. It was then re-activated as an integrated unit in 1947 and served at Ft. Knox, KY until again deactivated March 15, 1955.
